Ballance lies in the west of the Tararua district,
where there are Clydesdale Wagon Rides, horse trekking, various
other activities and attractions and beautiful bush walks as
well as the Manawatu River where various activities are held.
Ballance is also near the Tararua Wind Farm.
Ballance has a café beyond the bridge where
you can sit and relax in the garden amidst the kereru and have
a latté.
